The management of this concertseries in Helmond means the programming of ensembles, organization of logistics and finances, contacts with sponsors and venues, PR and fundraising.
The Lambertus Concerten foundation was founded in 2007 to offer a stage for vocal and instrumental ensembles.
It’s goal is to offer this stage in particular for amateur ensembles from Helmond and it’s environment but professional ensembles are also welcome, also thanks to subsidies from the Nederlands Fonds Podiumkunsten. To offer a wide variety in programming they try to program international renowned musicians. Among them were the King’s Singers, Emma Kirkby and the Holland Baroque Society. In 2011 the foundation made the first St. Matthews Passion ever in Helmond possible. Cooperation is also a goal of the foundation. Examples of this are concerts with the Helmonds Muziek Corps and the Robustelly-organ and also the St. Matthews Passion 2011 and 2013.
Education is also important to the foundations activities. “Robuuste Elly en kleine Jan” and “De Flierefluiter” were project with the Robustelly organ. Also with the St. Matthews and St. John’s Passions there were educational projects. Besides that there are social project for the elderly citizens.Last year members of the Helmonds Vocaal Ensemble together with accorded duo TOEAC went to elderly homes to perform parts of the St. John’s Passion there.
