Berend Eijkhout (1989) studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, with Frans Fiselier and Gerda van Zelm. He also followed classes and master classes with Elly Ameling, Nadine Secunde, Johannette Summer and Marcel Reijans. During his studies, he became a much sought after soloist in the oratorium repertoire. On his repertoire are the Passions, Weihnachtsoratorium and Hohe Messe of J.S. Bach, Requiem (Mozart, Brahms, Fauré, Duruflé), Petite Messe Solennelle, Messiah and Schöpfung. He sang with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, the Orchestra of the East and the New Bach Ensemble and with conductors like Marcus Creed, Ton Koopman and Antony Hermus.

In the summer of 2015 Berend sang the role of Figaro in the Barbier of Seville, with the French Opéra Mosset. Since then he has performed several roles with various groups and at various occasions: Il Conte (Le Nozze di Figaro), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Plutone (l'Orfeo, Monteverdi), Tempo (Il Ritorno di Ulisse in Patria), Apollon and Hérault Alceste). He also participated in two world premiers: Who's Afraid of Orfeo ? by Chiel Meijering, in which he sang Jup's role, and All Rise! By Jan Peter de Graaff, in which he sang Jean's role.
