Tigran Martinyan was born in Moscow studied singing at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory Academic Music College, where he graduated with Prof. Aleksey Martynov. He continued his studies at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow. Tigran was soloist in many concerts, among which Il Vespro della Beata Virgine and Orfeo by Monteverdi, Messiah and Acis and Galatea by Händel and Weihnachtsoratorium, St. John and St. Matthew Passion and Magnificat by Bach.  He performed with the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, the State Symphony Orchestra of Cinematography, Russian Philharmonic , Musika Viva and Pratum Integrum. He worked with conductors such as Peter Neumann, Peter Philips, Andrew Lawrence-King and Robert Canetti. In May 2016 he finished his studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with a Master Early Music. He lives and works as freelance singer in the Netherlands.
